The Fern comic is the brainchild of graphic novelist, Marc Bryant, of Knoxville, TN. One night, while eating dinner at our favorite pizza kitchen, Marc told me that he'd like to help out with the documentary in some way and thought depicting a condensed version of "pit bull" history with a comic would be a direct yet light-hearted way of getting some factual information out to the public. The comic is, of course, not an entire historical account of pit bulls, but instead, a comical way of looking at the basic heritage of the once heralded "American Dog." We hope you enjoy Fern's antics. She's just as silly in real life.
